St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church,   Gilbert, Arizona

St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church, Gilbert Arizona, has been serving Byzantine parishioners in Arizona since 1982.

The Divine Liturgy (Mass) of St. John Chrysostom begins at 10am each Sunday with the Hours beginning at 9:45.  During the week, Divine Praises are held each morning at 9:45.  Wednesdays at 7pm.  On Holy Days, Liturgies are usually at 7pm.  Confessions are Saturday at 4:30pm.

The church is located in Old Town Gilbert, at 19 W. Bruce Avenue, one block north of Elliot Road.

Our church is founded on Jesus Christ as revealed through the Sacred Scriptures and the Teachings of the Apostles, passed down through the Holy Traditions.

We are one of 22 Ritual churches that comprise the Catholic Church headquartered in Rome with Pope Benedict as its head.  We are part of the Byzantine Catholic Metropolia of Pittsburgh and the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Van Nuys

We celebrate the Liturgy and the Sacraments according to the Eastern Byzantine Tradition akin to the Russian and Greek Orthodox, but we are in full communion with the Catholic Church.
